Platform Wedding Shoes

Looking for a pair of platform bridal shoes?  We have a ton of styles for you to choose from above.  Here are some tips when choosing those wedding platform shoes.

 

1.  Even though they are platform wedding shoes, you still need to make sure that you'll be able to stand in them.  Not all women can wear such high heels.  The platform will make the heels more comfortable since the arch won't be as bad, but still be careful of selecting 5 inch platforms unless you are used to wearing them around.

2.  Bridal platform shoes are fantastic.  Think about whether or not you want ivory platform wedding shoes or a pair of white ones.  You could even consider a colored shoe, however I've found that ivory or white blends in the best and hides the high platform in front.

3.  When choosing your shoes, make sure that the heel is sturdy.  Try on a few different pairs if you are unsure.  Platform heels tend to be a little thicker, but there are still some that are the thin stiletto.  Try to avoid the stiletto unless you are absolutely sure that you can balance on them.  If you have a heavy beaded dress, be careful because it will weigh you down and put more pressure on you as you try to balance yourself.

4.  Your platform bridal shoe has to be broken in.  Definitely wear them around the house or out and about so you can make sure you have a lot of practice wearing them before the big day.  Also, wear them while practicing your first dance with your future husband.  You definitely don't want to trip on these!

5.  When doing the alterations, make sure that you bring these shoes in.  The heels are extra high so you want to make sure that your dress reaches the ground and covers your platforms so only the front is really peeking out.

 

Many brides have so much fun wearing these platform bridal shoes.  They give them extra height to make them look taller on their wedding day.  The height allows you to show off your dress and your great figure even more.  Plus, the platforms are really comfortable compared to high wedding heels since they are higher in front and allow your feet to arch up less.  Any difference in the arch is a huge difference in the overall comfort of your feet for the entire day.
