How it happened

Ladies, I just realized that I didn't share my engagement story with all of you.  So, as you all know, I love shoes.  I have so many that my closet is overflowing with them.  If I have nothing to do on the weekend, I go shopping for shoes.

So, a few weekends ago, my fiance (boyfriend at the time) suggested that I go shopping with him.  I was so surprised.  But, given that my birthday was a few weeks away, I thought he might be snooping around to try and figure out what I wanted.  So, we started out with my usual favorites in Beverly Hills - Neiman Marcus, Barney's, Jimmy Choo boutique, Ferragamo, Prada, and Fred Segal.  I saw so many fabulous shoes, and spent the afternoon modeling them for my boyfriend.

He was surprisingly patient, although he always is with me when I'm shopping.  Usually though he doesn't pay that much attention and spends his time on his iphone with the other boyfriends/husbands that wait around.  That day, he seemed to be paying so much attention, asking me to model the shoes, asking which ones I liked, etc.

Finally, after hours of doing this, we ended up at Sak's and he told me that he had found the perfect pair of shoes for me.  He told me to close my eyes and the salesman would bring them over.  Finally, the Tony, my salesperson, brought the most gorgeous pair of Christian Louboutin's over.  He told me to that they would fit me perfectly and I should try them on right then and there.

I bent down to take the shoes out and started to put my feet in them.  At the top of the shoe, I noticed something shiny and I bent down to take a look.  Tied to the top of the shoe was a diamond ring!  My boyfriend had knelt down beside me and was bent on one knee looking up at me.

Of course I said yes!  I was so excited!  The ring was perfect and the proposal had been perfect!  Afterwards we went out to my favorite place for dinner and celebrated.

Only one thing was left in the store.  The shoes!  They were actually beautiful wedding shoes, but I didn't know if I was ready to commit to them since I hadn't bought my dress.  These are the shoes ladies, let me know if you think I should buy them or something else!
