Today, I decided to go to the Jimmy Choo boutique to look around. OK, I confess, to look at the Jimmy Choo bridal shoes for my own wedding, although I knew I had to refrain after my weekend shopping spree. The Spring/Summer '09 collection was out in the store and I had a field day trying on all of these different shoes. The first shoe I saw was perfect for the summer. A pair of white, metallic leather platform sandals. The shoe is called "Poem" and I could definitely write a lot of poems around this shoe. Check it out ladies:
It's a perfect spring or summer wedding shoe or just a perfect shoe to wear with a cute outfit when you're going to a nice dinner.
Next, I went to the bridal shoes and saw another platform shoe. The thing is, I love platform heels. They are just much more comfortable and they give you the height you want, without the painful arch that a 4 inch heel calls for. With a platform, the 4 inch heel becomes a 3 and a half inch or 3 quarter inch heel. Much more comfortable. You'd be amazed at what a difference a quarter inch makes in comfort.
This next shoe, called the "Macy" is a silk satin platform sandal. It is a more delicate looking shoe and has an ankle strap to hold your foot in. It is beautiful and would definitely match a lot of dresses from A-line to Princess to Trumpet. It is also really comfortable since the straps in front adjust to fit your feet. It really makes your feet look great. I have a wider foot and my foot fit that shoe perfectly.
Next I saw a closed toe pointy shoe that I thought would look really elegant with a bridal gown. This Jimmy Choo bridal shoe has a swarovski jeweled buckle in front and has a strap in back to help hold the shoe in. It's gorgeous and I think would be really elegant with a mermaid or trumpet style dress. It works with an A-line or Princess dress though and really helps to elongate your legs because of the point. It's called "Gale" and there's a picture below.

Finally, I took a look at their fall '08 collection to see if there were any metallic bridal shoes that I could find. I found a gorgeous pair, again, a platform sandal, that comes in metallic silver or gold. It's a 4.7 inch heel and it's very simple so you could definitely wear it on your wedding day and wear it again to any party or when going out. Check it out below for those looking for a wedding shoe that is not white.

That's all for the Jimmy Choo bridal shoes. More in a bit!
