Ivory Shoes for Wedding

Ivory shoes for wedding are a fantastic option, especially if your dress is either ivory or has glints of gold rhinestones on them.  There are many shades of ivory including a light ivory that is more like a light gold color and a darker, deeper ivory that is closer to a yellow buttercup color.  If you are considering ivory shoes for wedding, then think through these criteria before deciding whether or not to move forward with looking for them.  This is important since the ivory shoe can be harder to find than other shoes.

First, look at your dress and consider whether or not you want an outfit that matches entirely or you want to do something different for your shoes.  Ivory shoes are very traditional, but they also cannot be worn again very easily. The color is really hard to match with things later on so this may cause you to reconsider.

Second, look at your dress.  If it is a light ivory, you may have a hard time since most ivory shoes for wedding are a darker shade that match well, but are quite distinct.  If your dress is close to a white color, then the darker shade may almost be took dark for you.  Having shoes on your feet that are too dark will stand out almost as much as those that might be too light.

Third, think through whether or not you are going to change dresses and if you want the same shoes for the whole night or different shoes for different dresses.  An easy alternative to ivory is gold.  Gold matches other colors, can be worn again later on, and can easily be used to match another dress color if you are planning to have more than one outfit.

Fourth, consider the style and heel height of your ivory shoes.  There are many styles to choose from and some will be more casual.  The more extravagant the style, the more expensive the shoe.  Also, since you may not wear this ivory shoe again, you may not want something so extravagant. 

Finally, consider how much you want to spend.  There are many different options out there in bridal boutiques, wedding salons and online shoe stores.  You will find so many to choose from, but all of them will be different prices.  You do not want to spend more than your budget, especially if you have no justification for wearing these ivory shoes for wedding again later on.
