Pink wedding shoes is one of the hottest choices of this season. Girls are choosing everything from pale pink wedding shoes to fuschia wedding shoes. If you are still torn about choosing these shoes for your wedding, here are ways that you can show them off both before and after the wedding. Here are also a few ideas for places to wear them to and outfits to pair them with so you can show off your new pink heels in style.
1. Wear them when you go out with your girlfriends. As they say, girls always look at everything you wear. Seldom do men look at your feet as much as women. But, women look and you will get lots of compliments if you wear them out with your favorite girls. 2. Put them on under a hot black dress. Do you have that favorite black dress in your closet? The one that is a little short and a little tight? Put on your hot pink shoes with the black dress and show them off all over. The black really highlights the pink color and tends to put emphasis on the feet below. 3. Save them and wear them out to a special dinner or date. If you’ve purchased fuschia heels, consider wearing them to your next fabulous date. Paid them with a short dress or a little skirt and a cute top. The great thing about the color is that it should attract your date’s attention. When stepping out in the pink shoes, be sure to walk straight and kick up your heels a little to show them off. 4. Pair them with dark blue jeans. Have a pair of skinny or bootcut jeans? Wear your new sandals with them and you will see the striking contrast. Whether pale pink or fuschia, the color is great with a pair of dark wash jeans. Don’t go with the light color since it could wash out the color. Make sure they are dark. Try to avoid black as that is too great of a contrast and only works well with dresses. 5. Use them for the next fancy evening event you go to. When you are wearing them, you can remember your fabulous wedding and when you wore your pink wedding shoes to the ceremony and dancing with your fiance. Whether it is an upscale wedding or a fancy cocktail party or the office Christmas party, save the shoes and wear them at that time. Pink is a great color to wear when you are celebrating or doing something really fun. It is different, unique and really contrasts well with many other colors. Plus, most people will be wearing black heels so why not be remembered for the girl with the gorgeous pink shoes?
Above are just a few ideas for you to pair your wedding shoes with. Whether you are wearing them out to a party or just to a quiet dinner, relish them. They should make you feel special just putting them on with anything. Finally, have fun!
We are obsessed with this new idea of late night wedding snacks. Besides the wedding shoes, this is the new discussion in the office. What are you serving after dinner? Late night wedding snacks is the place where you and your groom get to choose something really fun to eat. It’s not about steak or fish or the wedding cake. Instead, it’s about a few things you two love to eat after you’re exhausted from dancing and ready to go home. It’s about what you choose to order for room service at 2 AM in the morning in your hotel.
These wedding munchies are to be served after midnight. Right when your guests are ready to go home and collapse and start looking for something to eat since dinner was at 7 PM. Recently, Chelsea Clinton served grilled cheese sandwiches, brownies and popcorn. What a great combination. Salty, sweet, munchy. The idea behind these is finger foods and things that you just can’t get enough of late at night. Here are some of our best combinations that we’ve heard about, served, and are planning to serve on the menu.
1.In N’ Out burger truck – You can hire this famous burger truck to come to your party with their double doubles, milkshakes and French fries. The perfect ending and a great draw for your guests. I saw a groom wolf down 2 burgers and 3 fries because he didn’t get to have dinner.
2.Pizza, mini coke cans, and ice cream – The perfect combination this will take you back to your college days when you were studying for finals and needed a pick me up. Make the pizzas fancy with different toppings such as prosciutto, pineapple, and specialty sausages.
3.S’mores and grilled cheese – If you have a firepit, why not serve up some s’mores and grilled cheese sandwiches. A great interactive snack that your guests will love. One of our staffers went to a wedding where this was served and everyone sat around the fire telling stories. She said it was the perfect ending to a fantastic wedding.
4.Hot dogs and chips – If you and your fiancé are big fans of baseball, why not serve this at the end of the night? It gives you a lot of variety and you can serve them as mini-dogs.
5.Milk and cookies – What better combo then what your mother served you when you felt sleepy at night. Consider this with a cute bag for the cookies.
6.Pancakes and waffles – Since it’s almost time for breakfast, consider serving them exactly that. You can add some great toppings such as strawberries, blueberries, nutella, and whip cream.
7.Sweet potato fries and mini tacos – Again, something sweet and something salty to end the night with.
You can do any one of these combinations or you can choose from some of these other ideas:
Salty: Quesadillas, potato wedges, cheese and crackers, pretzels, fry station where everything is fried up, different sandwhiches
3 Wedding Photos You Shouldn’t Forget to Put On Your Wedding Photo List
Friday, 23 July 2010 14:19
We spend a lot of time talking about the wedding shoes here because we are just in love with shoes. But, for all of you brides looking for other tips around your wedding, here is one that we have for you. Many of us stylists have already gotten married although there are a few that are still looking for their special someone. For those that got married, one of their biggest wedding regrets was not taking specific wedding photos. When going through the photos afterwards, they regretted not asking the photographer to take a certain shot. Some of them had really been looking for that one shot to put up on their wall at home. Others just felt like they should have gotten it later on. So, here are our top 3 wedding photos you shouldn’t forget to put on your wedding photo list.
1. Head to toe photo of you: The first one is a head to toe photo of you. Surprisingly, many photographers forget to do this. They may do this while you are walking or turned to the side, but never a full frontal. Sometimes, they cut off one of the most important items – your bridal shoes! Yes! It’s a tragedy to forget to include the shoes in the photo when your wedding shoes is what makes the outfit complete. But, the one thing many brides were looking for that they didn’t get was a head to toe photo of themselves. Not one with the groom, but just one where you can see everything. This means, you can see the entire dress from top to bottom and all of the delicate beading and lace that goes in it. Also, you can see the head piece you choose and the little dangly earrings that your mother gave you to wear. Finally, you can see those fantastic shoes peeping out from underneath the dress. Whether blue wedding shoes or silver bridal shoes, those shoes complete the outfit and have to stand out.
2. Fun or whimsical photo of you and the groom: The next photo that many brides regretted not having was a fun or whimsical photo of you and the groom. This is one where you might be seen exchanging a secret glance or where the groom is holding you up and you are both laughing. The key to this photo is that it is natural and it captures the two of you at your happiest. Plus, it shouldn’t really be posed, but instead it should be one where you are making each other laugh. Photos that come out the best have something slightly outrageous being done such as tossing the bride up in the air or whirling her around in her dress. Whatever it is, a fun and whimsical photo of the two of you is perfect to preserve the happiness you felt on that day.
3. Shot with a gorgeous background: Although many of you will have this, it may not be the background you envisioned. What we mean is, go to your wedding site and take a look at all of the places you can pose. Then, choose the background that you want to capture. Is it a little nook under an oak tree or the little garden in back? Or, is it the glorious beach and sand? Whatever it is, choose the background that you want and make sure the photographer takes several pictures with that background in mind. Also, ask the photographer to make the two of you smaller and larger. Some of our former brides loved the small picture and the huge background with themselves and their groom while others liked the reverse. Either way, it makes for a fantastic shot to put up and remember your wedding by.

What’s great about the color blue is that it complements both an ivory and a white wedding dress. Royal blue or navy blue definitely look great with white while a pale blue looks fantastic with ivory. I know some of you girls are probably shaking your heads while others have already purchased their blue bridal shoe. What I’m going to say is, don’t say no until you try it. Go to the store and take a look at the blue shoes. The fantastic color really stands out against everything. Why else do they call it “royal” blue? In my opinion, it’s because it is one of the best colors in the spectrum and it comes with so many fantastic details and nuances.
Of course some of you may want to have that all white or all ivory look. That’s definitely understandable. If that’s the case, have your something blue be underwear or a little necklace or anklet. But, if you want to make a statement, why not try on a pair of something blue bridal shoes? Just look at the ones that our stylists have found below. How can you resist that deep blue color or that beautiful tiffany turquoise? And, you can’t argue with me when I say that the tiffany blue is that perfect color that always reminds everyone of a wedding. Besides, it’s the beginning of a lot of women’s road to marriage. Don’t you remember when you walked into the Tiffany store to look at engagement rings for the first time? I went, although we didn’t buy my ring from there, but I got an exact copy of the princess cut style made by another jeweler (to me, that was the best of both worlds – I got the style, but we got to save up for the wedding!).
But, for all of you ladies who haven’t found their shoes, I would take another look again at the blue bridal shoes. It just might help you cross of 2 items on your to do list!
A lot of brides have been writing in to us asking what our ultimate bridal checklist is. What is this? This is the complete list of everything you should remember for your wedding day outfit. It is not a schedule or a planner or a list of things for your photographer. Instead, it’s something that you should have on hand and reference for yourself. The one thing you don’t want to happen is to forget something that you wanted to wear or put in your hair or change into. So, here it is. If we’ve forgotten something, let us know! Hopefully we haven’t, but sometimes, there are some things that slip through the crack.
Here goes:
1.Wedding dress: Absolutely do not forget this! Also, 2 weeks before, check it over to make sure there are no problems. Try it on again to make sure you haven’t gained or lost weight. Plus, make sure it doesn’t have to be pressed or steamed, especially if you’ve traveled with it.
2.Necklace: Don’t forget that precious silver or pearl necklace you are going to wear with your dress.
3.Earrings
4.Bracelet: For all of you women who are adding some extra bling, make sure you remember this. And, if you have an ankle bracelet, don’t forget that!
6.Flip flops: Did you buy a pair to change into later? Well, absolutely, don’t forget this!
7.Hair piece: Are you wearing a tiara or is the florist bringing flowers for your hair? Either way, put the tiara or clips aside and call your florist to remind her to bring the flowers.
8.Underwear: Choose some nice underwear to wear. When your bridesmaids help you put on the dress, the photographer may snap a photo and you don’t want to be wearing granny panties in that photo!
9.Lingerie: You might be tired, but I bet your new husband won’t be that tired. Get some nice lingerie to wear for him.
10.Cute dress for the next day: The day after the wedding, you’ll probably be at the hotel walking around and saying good-bye to your guests. Don’t forget to bring a cute dress for just that occasion.
11.Make-up: Even if you are getting your make-up done, bring your own in case you need it for touch-ups or the day after.
12.Lip gloss: Bring this so you can carry it around and retouch.
13.Clutch or purse: Have one that your bridesmaids will be carrying around? Put that aside with your shoes.
14.Contacts: Put aside an extra pair. The worst thing is to lose it on that day and not be able to see anything.
15.Toiletries: If you are staying overnight, don’t forget to pack this.
16.Cute dress to have for your make-up: Again, the photographer is going to take photos of you while you are getting your make-up done. Bring a cute dress to have on that you can easily take off. Don’t get caught in your ratty t-shirt and shorts for the big day!
17.Sticky tape, needle and thread: For emergencies!
18.Bra or boob enhancers or stickies: Don’t forget this, or your boobs won’t look as hot!
19.Baby powder, foot petals: Whatever you have to help your feet when they sweat or if your shoes hurt. Don’t forget to pack that!
20.Fun t-shirt or gift from your bachelorette or bridal shower: If you were given any “bride to be” items, don’t forget to pack this.
21.Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue: If you are a traditionalist, don’t forget all of these items
22.Hair spray: If you don’t like the way the spray smells from your stylist, bring your own.
23.Flat iron & curling iron & clips: If you aren’t getting your hair done, don’t forget this.
OK, there you have it. Our complete list of items that you will need for the big day. Bring all this and you should be set!
