Searching for 4 inch Bridal Shoes

Wednesday, 24 June 2009 10:06

I just went to my dress fitting and found out that I need bridal shoes with a higher heel.  I had ordered the dress to fit 3 inch heels.  They did a hollow to hem measurement for me and I wore 3 inch heels.  But, when I put on the dress, it was way too long.  At first, I thought it needed to be altered.  I was so worried because the bottom of the dress is lace and has a lot of sequins and embroidery so I was afraid the seamstress wouldn’t  be able to move everything up without ruining the dress.  Then, she came in and pulled the dress up – it was still a little too big in the chest area (why do all of the dress manufacturers think we have these tiny little waists and big chests?  If I had a body like that, it would be amazing!).  After she pulled the dress up and figured out the alterations I needed, my mother and I noticed that the dress wasn’t as long as I had originally thought.  I had on 3 inch heels so the seamstress grabbed a pair of 4 inch heels in the store and guess what?  The dress was a perfect length!  Yay!  So, now, instead of wearing 3 inch heels, I need to start looking for 4 inch heels.

I just started looking and here are a few that I found at Bloomingdales.  My dress is cream so I don’t know if I want ivory bridal shoes or if I want to go with something different.  All I know is that the 4 inch wedding shoes have to be comfortable, so ideally, I find heels with a platform in front so it feels like 3 inch heels.

Here’s what I’ve found so far.  Not sure what I like, but I’ll be posting more of what I find in the next few weeks for all you girls who are looking for 4 inch heels.

The first pair are from Max Studio.  They are 3 ¾ inch so I don’t know if they will work.  But, they are so beautiful.  They’re called the Max Studio “Salsa” Satin T-Strap Pumps and they have ruffles along the strap that are so beautiful.  I tried them on and my feet look gorgeous in these ivory wedding shoes.
Beautiful 4 inch heels

The next pair are from Stuart Weitzman, called the “Frontpage” Double Platform Pump.  They’re a deep blue color and suede.  I don’t know if the suede matches, but I know the shoes are gorgeous. There are other Stuart Weitzman bridal shoes but I love these.  They are actually 4.5 inch heels which are so high, but since they have a platform, I thought I would be OK.

Blue bridal shoes
The final pair I looked at are Via Spiga Women’s “Justina” dress sandals.  They are exactly 4 inches and are gold.  Again, don’t know if the gold matches, but they are so beautiful.  Check out the gorgeous pattern that the straps make in front.   These are definitely shoes I could wear again.

I’ll be continuing my search for 4 inch bridal shoes so if you find any, let me know.
