“Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” Yes, I agree it’s an old tradition, but there’s something about traditions that are pretty great to celebrate on your wedding day. One really easy way to find your something blue is to buy a pair of something blue bridal shoes. Yup, buy a pair of blue wedding shoes to serve as your something blue.
I love this idea because it definitely kills 2 birds with one stone. The way I like to think about it is that it actually kills more than 2 birds. Why? Because after your wedding, you can definitely wear those blue shoes when you’re going out. How cute are a pair of blue shoes paired with white jeans or black pants? They completely stand out and make each item very distinct.
Heel Height: 4 1/2" Color: Fuschia, red, blue Style notes: These platform heels are perfect for the bride looking for a little extra height with a cute shoe.
Heel Height: 4 1/2" Color: Blue Style notes: The fabulous designer blue shoes are thoroughly embellished with glamorous rhinestones over the top. The perfect princess look!
What’s great about the color blue is that it complements both an ivory and a white wedding dress. Royal blue or navy blue definitely look great with white while a pale blue looks fantastic with ivory. I know some of you girls are probably shaking your heads while others have already purchased their blue bridal shoe. What I’m going to say is, don’t say no until you try it. Go to the store and take a look at the blue shoes. The fantastic color really stands out against everything. Why else do they call it “royal” blue? In my opinion, it’s because it is one of the best colors in the spectrum and it comes with so many fantastic details and nuances.
Of course some of you may want to have that all white or all ivory look. That’s definitely understandable. If that’s the case, have your something blue be underwear or a little necklace or anklet. But, if you want to make a statement, why not try on a pair of something blue bridal shoes? Just look at the ones that our stylists have found below. How can you resist that deep blue color or that beautiful tiffany turquoise? And, you can’t argue with me when I say that the tiffany blue is that perfect color that always reminds everyone of a wedding. Besides, it’s the beginning of a lot of women’s road to marriage. Don’t you remember when you walked into the Tiffany store to look at engagement rings for the first time? I went, although we didn’t buy my ring from there, but I got an exact copy of the princess cut style made by another jeweler (to me, that was the best of both worlds – I got the style, but we got to save up for the wedding!).
But, for all of you ladies who haven’t found their shoes, I would take another look again at the blue bridal shoes. It just might help you cross of 2 items on your to do list!
