Fantastic Celebrity Wedding Shoes

Every once in awhile at WeddingFeet, we love looking back at the past few years to see what bridal shoes celebrities have chosen.  Sometimes, their inspirations have really inspired our choice since most of the time, their choices have come from other great stylists.

So, below are a few celebrity wedding shoes that have stood out to us these past few years.

Like most of you, we watched Carrie Underwood shoot to stardom with her American Idol debut.  This super cute country singer-songwriter got married to the famous hockey player, Mike Fisher on July 10, 2010 at Georgia’s Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Plantation resort.  For her bridal shoes, shoe chose a pair of sling back, Stuart Weitzman wedding shoes. The studded, high-heeled shoes were a sparkly and stunning compliment to her wedding theme and matched well with her huge Chantilly lace gown and silver tiara. 

We’ve loved watching Christina Hendricks as Joan Holloway in “Mad Men” and were so happy for her when she was given the title of sexiest woman in the world” on 2010 poll held by Esquire magazine.  In October, 2011, she got married to actor Geoffrey Arend in their favorite restaurant in New York, Il Buco.  She wore a stunning pair of red wedding shoes.  These red flats had a beautiful ribbon design and played well off her auburn hair and her elegant strapless gown.

 

Yes, the girl we love to hate.  Her wedding on “The Hills” in April, 2009, was simply over the top.  Although we thought her wedding gown was a bit too much, we loved her Christian Louboutin white wedding shoes.  These simple beautiful shoes had a gorgeous white bow and little peep toes in front.  Complimented by the signature red back, these shoes were perfect.  

One more bride that chose Christian Louboutins was Hillary Duff.  We love her gorgeous mermaid dress with the beautiful ruffles at the bottom.  Instead of going with something complicated, she chose simple, beige open-toe Louboutin platforms.  They were the perfect complement to the gorgeous gown.  Plus, we love that she’ll be able to wear her wedding shoes afterwards with so many other outfits.
