Your Bridal Shoes Budget

Oh no, money again!  Should you just buy a pair of cheap bridal shoes?  By now, you’ve probably put down more than your fair share of deposits, you've probably purchased your wedding invitations and many other things, this leaves you with a lot less room in the bank account.   Because of this, you are debating over whether or not to purchase those great designer bridal shoes you saw at Nordstrom's or to just go for some cheap wedding shoes from Payless.  Before you make a purchase, think through your budget and see how much you can afford.  Then, think through some of these other factors that I've listed below.  They may just change your decision about what to buy:

1) Can you wear the shoes again or will you be putting them in the closet along with your wedding dress? If you’re looking at more traditional or classic styles, then you could probably wear those shoes again. A white wedding shoe will go well with lots of other summer weddings and parties you’ll go to in the future. Gold and silver wedding shoes may go even better when you want to go out to dinner or a party!  So, even if you want to buy those cheap bridal shoes, consider spending a little bit more for a pair of shoes you can wear later on.  

 2) How comfortable are the shoes? Hate to say this, but the saying is true “you get what you pay for.” Sometimes, there are fantastic bargains that are really comfortable, but other times, a higher priced designer shoe will fit better on your feet and help your feet breathe better. Since you will be wearing these shoes all day, you will definitely want to consider comfort.  You may think about this as a one-time wear, but this is the longest that you'll be wearing a one-time wear shoe.  Don't make this a painful process for your feet.  Your wedding feet will not be happy, nor will you.  Consider designer wedding shoes - You pay more, but the quality will be better.  If you want to learn more, see the next page to find out about “Designer Wedding Shoes.”

 3) Are you going to buy more than one pair? If you only want to wear these shoes down the aisle, consider a less expensive pair that still looks great! After that, change into those wedding flip flops to dance the night away!  2for the price of 1 sounds like a great deal.  Plus, wedding flip flops can be worn again on your honeymoon or just while you're out during the summer so you'll only need to box one pair of shoes.
